The fragile interdependence of the natural world is my overarching theme and most heartfelt motivation in creating art. I am inspired to reflect that theme in the unique nature of textiles themselves. My long-time practice of Tai Chi lifts me beyond personal narrative to harmonize with the essential forces of movement, growth, spirit. Tai Chi unites my aesthetic sense and physical expressions, like body and soul. In the studio I invite images to arise naturally as a response to materials and an outcome of each process.
