Emily DuBois is an internationally acclaimed American artist who lives in Portugal. Her fine art textiles are best known for her experiments and developments in mixed media dyeing and weaving techniques.

"My work is inspired by the hidden life forces that give us evidence of their actions through direct observation or scientific measuring. My long-time practice of Tai Chi lifts me beyond personal narrative to harmonize with the essential forces of movement, growth and spirit. Tai Chi unites my aesthetic sense and physical expressions, like body and soul. In the studio I invite images to arise naturally as a direct outcome of each process.
