​​The woven and mixed media textiles in this exhibition were created after the 2018 volcanic eruption in Hawai'i, during the Covid time in the Netherlands, and now that my spouse and I have resettled in Portugal. Saudade is a uniquely Portuguese concept, a longing for something loved and lost, something like the blues.​
